Grange Home & Climate Beneficial ™ Wool —

a unique partnership with Fibershed, in creating the Wool Gathering Capsule Collection.

The Wool Gathering Cot #127, a mix of Climate Beneficial ™ Wools.

This cot, c 1950 has been refinished, using a rubbed treatment to show hints of its past; the metal has been polished and we have added all new brass screws.

A beautiful contrast to the bed of undyed Climate Beneficial ™ Wool from Emigh Ranch in Northern California, in a plain weave. We have utilized the selvage edge to bring the fringe-like detail into focus and combined a contrasting length of naturally dyed Climate Beneficial ™ Wool from Lani’s Lana (also from Northern California) down the center.

A new layer of cotton canvas provides support while the Climate Beneficial ™ Wool provides the comfort and healing–when you relax upon it; and in knowing that this cloth is part of a movement to create soil health and mitigate the impacts of Climate Change.

A member of Fibershed’s Producer Family, Grange Home strives to work with Climate Beneficial ™ fibers whenever possible. Driving revenue to landscapes that are helping to mitigate the impacts of Climate Change is one of the most exciting moments in the design process--flexing the principle of Design for Good.

The Wool Gathering Pillows, in Wool Shearling, Wool Twill and Wool filling—all Climate Beneficial ™ , gorgeous, rich and healing, all in one.

 Living on the Edge--

Our designs celebrate the gorgeous details that reside at the selvage edge of cloth.

sel·vage
/selvij/
noun

an edge produced on woven fabric during manufacturing that prevents it from unravelling.

Creating zero-waste, sustainable designs means we strive to use every bit of material--finding purpose and beauty within all the details.

Reverence for how materials are constructed.

In many of our pieces, we bring the selvage edge, or the fray, into focus. It is slightly ironic as the selvage can be the first bit of material which gets cast aside on the cutting table. At Grange Home, we are a bit obsessed by that clean, finished detail.
